About Flags

All the flags, bunting and banners, are designed and made by myself from fabrics which include, silks, satins, organzas, both synthetic and natural, metallic fabrics, and ripstop nylon.
The flags are stitched and crafted to a high standard, making them robust and long lasting and they are made in a stunning range of colours and designs, which are constantly evolving and developing. The stitching is used as part of the designs.
Flags and bunting have a dramatic effect in transforming any environment and make any event more special.

My flags are very adaptable and can be displayed:
- In marquees, dining rooms, reception rooms, churches, church halls, or any venue
  hired for your wedding, reception or party.
- On tents, boats, bicycles, cars, prams and pushchairs.
- On house walls, both inside and outside; in conservatories, halls, sitting and dining
   rooms and bathrooms.
- Around doorways, along shelves, in stairwells and around and across windows.
- in your garden, around and in trees and large plants, along fences and between trees
  across ponds, between poles and on the outside of your house or conservatory wall.
- On flagpoles fixed in the ground, against a wall or fence.

Guidelines for displaying your flags or bunting, along with advice on health and safety and the care of the flags, will be included when they are hired by you or posted to you.

Single flags are available in sizes of:

- From 5cms to 3.50 metres in length. Larger flags can be made.
- They are ready strung, making them easy to use.
- They are available with a lightweight, telescopic pole of 3 metres and up to 9
metres in height.

Strings of flags - bunting are available with the following:
- 3 flags to up to 30 along a length, depending on the size of the venue or house.
- The spans along the length of a string vary from .50 of a metre to 6 metres.
- The depth of the flags on a string varies from 5cms to a 1 metre drop.
- They are ready strung, so that they are easy to put up and take down.

My flags are individual works of art, that provide a unique alternative to mass produced plastic bunting.
I am interested in a new approach to ceremonies and celebrations, and flags can be a part of this and part of making any event an unforgettable experience.

The very essence of flags is elusive and magical. They make beautiful decorations, but also hold a symbolic and spiritual meaning. Tibetans believe that flags bless the air that passes through them, and write their prayers on them to be carried by the wind.
Sometimes I make flags for the pure delight of the colours and the fabrics and how they move with the wind and glow in the light. I also love to work with symbols and their spiritual meaning or with symbols and colours that are important to clients; developing a flag or set of flags that hold personal meaning and significance to them, so that it becomes part of their home, garden, celebration or their ceremony.
